Carmella & Hugo: Happy 50 Years Together!
My last post didn’t quite do justice to the amazing feat of my parents’ 50th wedding anniversary. Holy moly. Fifty years of life together has seen many ups and downs, many joys and sorrows, many fun times and not so fun times. My parents have had a very full life and I thought it would be appropriate to pay a tribute to the many decades they’ve spent together.
So herewith is a walk down memory lane.
The 1950’s – their graduation and boarding school days:
The 1960’s – their courtship, their wedding, my birth, and more. Living in Westchester County, New York.
The 1970’s – Joy’s birth, confirmations, graduations, camping vacations.
The 1980’s: 50th birthdays, their 25th wedding anniversary and some horrible hair-dos.
The 1990’s: Retirement to Florida. Lots of cruises and family holidays.
The 2000’s: The weddings of their children and more cruises.
The 2010’s: The birth of their first grandchild and their 50th wedding anniversary.
