BOOK NOWThe Making of a Sacred Rattle
My second shamanic teacher told me “The first time I went to the World of Spirits, I was standing with three other people in a small circle. We were all rattling. Suddenly the Earth opened up and I fell into the Lower World”. When I heard this, I thought “I’d better get me a rattle” (by Jonathan Horowitz, Power In Your Hand, A Short Introduction to the Rattle)
Creating a Shamanic Rattle is bringing forth the gift of your connection to the relationship of life and spirit. Birthing a rattle speaks to your journey, your essence. It is a tool that opens up your connection to the spirit world and the support that is there.
When we spend time to sacred craft we allow space for the mystery to walk with us. It is a very special time that stretches us. We gather materials of the earth that we have brought. Form them while working with what we receive through the journey process and bring to life something very special.
This workshop runs from Friday evening to Sunday afternoon. We begin by gathering our tools together, meeting in community, setting up our altar and working together in sacred circle. I welcome you.
